I've installed NetSolitaire but an error (GPF or similar) appears when I click to start
NetSolitaire.
When the installation of
NetSolitaire did not
properly complete:
-
Remove NetSolitaire (from "Control Panel" - "Add/Remove Programs").
-
Run "ScanDisk" (from "Programs", "Accessories", "System
Tools").
-
Free up at least 20/30 Mbytes of space on your hard drive and reinstall
NetSolitaire.
-
If the problem still exists, the setup file might be damaged.
-
Redownload the setup file from http://www.netsolitaire.com/download.htm
and reinstall NetSolitaire.
The program runs for some time and then freezes.
Possible solution:
- Video Cards
1) Some advanced video cards can
create problems.
Click on: Start, Settings, Control Panel, System,
Performance, Graphics.
Decrease the hardware acceleration to correct possible
problems.
Try all positions from "Full" to
"None".
2) Mouse.
Set a different Pointers Scheme. We suggest
"None" or "Windows standard".
Click on: Start, Settings, Control Panel, Mouse,
Pointers.
I have a 3D video card and the program halts; the cards are smearing or breaking up.
What's the problem?
Some display problems appear with new 3D
"Voodoo" cards.
-
Do you have the latest drivers for your video card? (They can usually
be downloaded from the web site of your video card manufacturer).
-
Try to reduce the Video
Card speed in the Control Panel (Start, Settings,
Control Panel, System, Performance, Graphics). Decrease
the hardware acceleration to correct possible problems.
Try all positions from "Full" to
"None".
-
Try turning off some of the advanced settings of the card.
What happens if my computer crashes? How do I retrieve
NetSolitaire?
Don't worry!
